Pusan National University Hospital opened in November 1956 in accordance with the National University Hospital Establishment Act, contributing to the advancement of medicine and public health through education, research, and treatment. It is an advanced general hospital that has 1,311 beds and now 33 departments including internal medicine, surgery, dental clinic Korean medicine, etc. It has also affiliated organizations, Biomedical Research Institute and CMIT (Convergence Medical Institute of Technology), and has around 30 specialized laboratories and 17 medical centers specialized in certain diseases. Furthermore, it has 6 specialized centers designated by the government (which are Trauma Center which is the largest scale in Asia, Regional Center for Respiratory diseases, Regional Emergency Medical Center, Busan Cancer Center, Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Center, and Busan Dental Clinic Center for the disabled).

Busan Cancer Center: It provides the best specialized medical services for each clinic with patient-centered one-stop cancer treatment and radiation therapy equipment such as Tomotherapy, PET-CT, and gamma knife.

Robotic Surgery Center: Starting from operation in 2013, it is currently operating two latest robotic surgical instruments, including Da Vinci Xi.
